Norwood, MA – LAN-TEL Communications, Inc., based in Norwood, MA, has completed the comprehensive low-voltage network infrastructure renovations at HubSpot’s expanded headquarters’ offices at 2 Canal Park in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The NECA Boston Chapter contractor’s scope also entailed elaborate audio visual (AV) and security installations.
The tel/data scope comprised updating third floor 45,000 sf office space with 700 Cat 6 and fiber optic cables, which support the company’s fiber backbone. AV installations included a sound masking system, flat screen monitors in meeting and conference rooms, and video walls. The HubSpot security system project included installation of video camera surveillance and card reader access control.
LAN-TEL supervised its crew of IBEW Local 103 technicians in the four-month project, which commenced in August and was substantially completed in early December. HubSpot will take occupancy in January 2021.
LAN-TEL worked on a project team headed by general contractor, Wise Construction of Winchester, MA. In the AV project, LAN-TEL worked as a subcontractor to DGI, headquartered in North Billerica, MA.
