As my term serving as ASM’s president comes to a close, I can’t help but reflect on the past two years as I plan for my next venture. For more years than I’d like to admit, I have wanted to serve as president for ASM and NECA and am incredibly grateful to have achieved these goals. ASM is a tremendous organization that provides incredible benefits for its members. I have learned a great deal working with them, not only during my presidency, but also as a long-standing member. However, as I reflect on these last two years, I am joined by the same thoughts I had when I wrote “Are You Ready?” last December, regarding retirement and whether any of us have truly prepared sufficiently for what the future may bring.
